Tajweed is the discipline of reciting the Qur'an exactly as it was taught. Our Tajweed course pairs you with a qualified tutor who listens, corrects and explains each rule in plain language, applied directly to the verses you read.
We begin with makharij, the points of articulation of each letter, and the characteristics of letters (sifaat). Rules only make sense when the sounds themselves are correct.
Your tutor teaches the rules you meet most often first: noon sakinah and tanween, meem sakinah, madd, qalqalah and the rules of laam and raa, always tied to ayat you actually recite that week.
Mistakes are corrected as you recite, with the specific rule explained. Where useful, short recordings help you hear your own progress and practise between lessons.
For committed students we can build a path towards a complete recitation with a recognised chain, taking your level and goals into account.

FAQ
Basic reading ability helps, but it is not essential. We can combine fluency practice and Tajweed so you improve on both together.

Yes, with a live one-to-one tutor. Hearing the tutor and being heard in real time is what makes correction possible.
